South Bay Wine Tours offers three types of tours:
—› To plan a corporate or private
group tour, please use the following steps as a general guide:
- Choose 3 to 4 wineries to visit from our list
of wineries
- Decide on any extra
features you'd like to include, such as a barrel tasting or
limo transport
- Select your meal preference: Picnic,
Catered Meal at the winery, or Dining out
(price varies depending upon your selections)
Corporate Tour standard inclusions:
- transport service (limo,
corporate bus, or limo bus, depending on size/needs of group)
- upgraded tasting/facility touring fees*
- lunch or dinner (if your schedule permits
- tour can be designed with or without a meal)
- special discounts on your bottled wine purchases
(at select wineries)
- your own tour guide throughout the tour
Corporate Tour planning notes:
- Travel times between wineries can vary greatly,
which may affect itinerary choices
- We can accommodate groups of up to 50 on a
single bus, but many of the local wineries prefer smaller groups
of up to 30. This means that tours with more than 25 participants
may need to be divided into smaller groups at the winery, or
the tour can be planned to visit just the larger wineries that
are able to accommodate large buses and groups. We have many wineries
to choose from in our area - both large and small.
Our tour specialist will work with you to
accommodate any special or last-minute requests and help create
a tour that is sure to please everyone in your party. We
look forward to sharing our special knowledge of the local wineries!
*Standard tasting fees are included in the tour
price. (Some wineries have more than one level of tasting available
at different price levels) Upgraded tasting fees, special event
fees, and charges for a souvenir wine glass may also be included
in your tour - see your specific price quote for exact inclusions.
Facility tour fees (fees charged by the wineries to tour their facilities)
and lunch set-up fees may add up to $15.00 per person, but will
be shown on your quote.
- our popular, "general admission"
standard tour with minibus transport - usually offered a few times
per year. (priced from $85.00 and up, per person, depending upon
that months' itinerary)
—› To take a Public Admission Tour:
Choose your tour from the posted schedule of upcoming
public tours, then give us a call: 408-867-9661. We accept reservations
from single individuals, up to parties of 25. Pay by check, or online
via credit card. You Must Call so we know you are coming
- do not depend on the online ticket purchase to confirm your reservation.
(things happen, and it may or may not notify us in time)
*Sign-ups for Public Tours are taken
until we fill the minibus, which is a total of 25 per tour. If a minimum
number is not reached, the tour may have to be cancelled or re-scheduled.
Public Tours include:
- transport service (usually
a minibus, sometimes a corporate bus)
- a tour behind-the-scenes in at least one winery
on the tour or a chance to meet the winemaker
- standard tasting and facility tour fees*
- picnic or catered lunch
- special discounts on your bottled wine purchases
(at most of the wineries)
- your own tour guide throughout the tour
*Standard tasting fees are included in the tour
price. (Some wineries have more than one level of tasting available
at different price levels) Upgraded tasting fees are the responsibility
of the tour participant. Facility tour fees (fees charged by the
wineries to tour their facilities) may be up to $15.00 per person
for South Bay wineries. Similarly, facility tour fees also vary
from winery to winery. For your convenience, we usually include
these charges in the price of your tour so that you pay just one
price for the day.
- combine winery visits with another activity,
such as dining out, touring a goat cheese farm, visiting a flower
garden, etc. Combination tours are a great way to make a tour that
pleases both wine lovers and the non-drinking members of your group.
(price varies depending upon your selections)
