Picchetti Winery Tasting Room
The villa at Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards, Saratoga
Saratoga and Cupertino wineries are within a half-hour's drive of downtown San Jose, and offer a chance to get out into the country without a long drive. Winery experiences here range from VIP Vineyard tours, to sit-down tastings with a Sommelier, to picnics with a view. Saratoga is also home to some nice restaurants, in case you want to stop for dinner at the end of your wine tour.
Cinnabar Vineyards and Winery - delicious, award-winning wines in a wine lounge Tasting Room in downtown Saratoga. Cinnabar is known for producing a wide variety of great wines, such as their Mercury Rising red blend.
Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards - The Coopers and the Garrods are two of the pioneer families in Saratoga. The 28-acre estate winery specializes in Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Viognier, and yes, you can ride horses here, too! (just not into the Tasting Room)
Picchetti Winery - Originally founded as a family winery in the late 1800's, Picchetti has a large picnic area, hiking trails, and a big brown barn Tasting Room where you can sample the current releases.
R & W Vineyards - A small-production winery, with no official Tasting Room, the owners host small groups at their private home. R & W Vineyards makes Cabernet Sauvignon from estate grapes, as well as some Cab from Napa, and a Spring Mtn Syrah. An intimate venue best for groups of 12 or fewer.
Ridge Vineyards - One of our nation's top-rated producers of Cabernet and Zinfandel, Ridge has a tasting room high atop Montebello Road, about a mile below the actual winery. (winery closed to the public, so all tastings are in a Tasting Room, which was once a house, now converted to office space and Tasting Room facility)
Savannah-Chanelle Vineyards - Sits on 58 charming and peaceful acres in the hills of Saratoga, where winemaker Tony Craig makes award-winning wines, including several Pinot Noirs and an old-vine Zin. We love their VIP vineyard tour, and they have some of the best picnic spots in the region!
The Mountain Winery - Originally Paul Masson's winery, this property was selected for the perfect soils and beautiful views. Come enjoy a tasting perched on a little piece of heaven, and enjoy looking out over the Santa Clara Valley (aka Silicon Valley) The Tasting Room now offers a nice wine-friendly menu, Thursday - Sunday, and our groups are usually hosted by "the mayor" Jesse Montenegro.
